Fire prevention: what to do

  • Extinguisher : A 6kg powder fire extinguisher type ABC is mandatory for every piloot.
  • No open fires : In the spectators’ campsite and the drivers’ paddock, barbecues and any appliances using an open flame are prohibited, as are campfires.
  • Cigarette ends : Never throw cigarette ends onto the ground; designated smoking areas with sand on the ground and water barrels are provided at Gribelle, the chicane, the beer tent, the Bar and Robio.
  • Vehicles : Do not park on dry grass, as the hot exhaust pipe may set the vegetation alight.
  • Sparks : avoid using any potentially hazardous tools near dry areas.
  • Glass : risk of a magnifying effect – dispose of it in a suitable bin.

A moment’s carelessness can start a fire. Let’s stay vigilant!
